Antique Leather Wing Back Armchair

Description

A fantastic antique leather wing back armchair. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1890-1910 period.

The quality is superb and it is extremely comfortable to relax in, it is supportive and well padded. The chestnut leather has a gorgeous colour tone and patina, this sits on solid mahogany cabriole legs with acanthus leaf carving at the knees, terminating in claw and ball feet. This has likely been re-upholstered in the past half century, the original horse hair stuffing has been retained inside.

We have had the leather revived and polished by our leather restorer, the legs have also been re-polished. This is in excellent condition for its age, with only some very minor wear here and there and one very small historical repair seen on the seat, which is barely noticeable.
