An early 18th century welsh wainscot chair comprising of a fielded paneled back and humped crest rail. The subtly shaped arms with carved scrolls are supported by tuned balusters with single ring collars adjoined by peripheral stretchers.
The chair has had some restorations at some stage, which could indicate why there is a later date carved underneath the seat which could have been when it was restored.
The chair has a wonderful patina and is in excellent solid condition.
