K0606 A good 19th-century gilded pier mirror of elegant proportions, perfectly suited as a grand wall mirror or positioned above a console table. This antique piece features an arched frame detailed with a classic moulded edge and rope-carved decoration.

Crucially, the mirror retains its original glass, displaying that highly desirable, authentic foxing and gentle silvering degradation that only time can achieve. The frame retains much of its original gilt finish, showing an accumulation of history, some touch-ups over the generations, and honest oxidation. This natural wear creates an outstanding antique character and depth of patina.

The reverse retains its original timber backboards, now fitted with four wall brackets. Sturdy, structurally sound, and full of historical charm, this mirror arrives completely ready to place and enjoy in any refined home. c1860
