Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

Regency and late Georgian furniture styles are characterised by classical proportions, inspired by ancient Greek and Roman designs, often featuring refined mahogany timbers, brass mounts, and delicate painted satinwood decorations.

These cabinets were traditionally constructed using dense hardwoods such as mahogany and satinwood, featuring hand-cut dovetail joints, glazed doors with wooden astragals, and hand-painted decorative panels.

Authentic pieces exhibit period-appropriate construction methods such as hand-planed timber, old glass with natural imperfections, traditional brass locks by makers like Hobbs & Sons, and age-appropriate oxidisation and wear.

An antique display cabinet can serve as a focal point in a modern room, contrasting against neutral walls while housing curated collections of ceramics, glassware, or books to add texture and historical depth.

Preserve antique wood by keeping it out of direct sunlight, maintaining stable indoor humidity levels to prevent timber splitting, and occasionally applying microcrystalline wax rather than modern silicone polishes.
