This large wall mirror dates from 1890 in the English Country style. The piece consists of a rectangular pine frame holding a large scale reflective glass plate, finished in a distressed terracotta red painted surface with visible mixtures of old paint. The timber moulding surrounds the edge, showing signs of age through its worn finish. Measuring 257 cm high by 196 cm wide and 5 cm deep, it provides a substantial scale for domestic interiors.
