Outstanding Games Box In Burl Walnut, Brass And Malachite C.1880

A stunning English Victorian Games / playing card box made from Burl Walnut mounted with impressive polished brass mounts beautifully detailed, and in turn, inset with polished green malachite stones.
 
The box comes with a working (replacement) key which when unlocked reveals a fitted interior complete with a wooden cribbage board, whist markers, leather Bezique markers, gaming chips etc. The box is lucky enough to have it''s original brass makers plaque, J A Magill / Donegal Place / Belfast.
 
A superb box in excellent condition dating to c.1880, Victorian in era. 12 1/4'' x 9'' x 5''.
