Good Regency set of 6 painted and parcel gilt chairs, retaining their original dark olive green paint with fine cream lines and detailed parcel gilt decoration; the top rail with a rectangular tablet above the pierced horizontal splats with a central panel of gilt classical torches; the uprights with gilded harebells above the cane seats; the front seat rail with gilded interwoven ribbons flanked by trailing vines, raised on elegant turned tapering legs with gilt collars terminating with toupe feet. These are a set of 6 but with some very minor differences.
