A rare bold 19th century continental brass inlaid oak desk armchair. Most probably Northern European. This chair has many unusual features, incorporating carved scroll arms and turned twist legs and upright supports and a strong shaped stretcher. The chair is of outstanding condition and quality and is upholstered in hand dyed leather. 790mm high, 640mm wide, 620mm deep and 520mm seat height. Circa 1835.
