Pair of Arts & Crafts Armchairs, Shapland & Petter

Description

A super pair of Arts & Crafts oak open armchairs attributed to Shapland & Petter of Barnstaple and dating to c.1910. With three roundels to the toprail and tulip shaped splats beneath, they have wide out-curved armrests and square vase shaped tapering legs. The drop-in padded seats are covered in a cream fabric with a pale sage green leaf design. Stamped to the underside 'Rd No 449534'.
