Description

A beautiful and increasingly difficult to find set of six antique English dining chairs, made by M. D. Miller & Sons, Cabinet Makers & Upholsterers of Nottingham, and dating from approximately 1910–1920.

The chairs have particularly attractive tall backs with elegant pierced splats, carved decorative crest rails and finely turned front legs. The warm timber finish highlights the grain and traditional construction beautifully.

Each chair has a generously upholstered seat finished in a traditional patterned fabric in muted cream, pink and earthy tones, complementing the warm colour of the frames particularly well.

A very decorative set with strong period character, suitable for a traditional dining room as well as an eclectic or contemporary interior.

Seat Height: 49 cm

The chairs are in very good antique condition. They are solid and sturdy, with age related marks, light surface wear and variations in the finish consistent with their age and previous use. The upholstery also presents well.
