Lovely set of 6 late Georgian oak cottage dining chairs c.1800. The design is a country vernacular interpretation of a Chippendale chair. With a shaped top rail, note the little carved scrolls to the tops of the ears, over a very attractive pierced back splat. Simple board seats (height 17½'') on tapering square legs joined with stretchers to the front, sides and rear. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
