They are of amazing quality and are a lovely, petite size, with a gorgeous typical Art Deco design. They would be perfect as bedroom chairs are occasional side chairs in various settings around the home. Though they are fairly small, they are well sprung with generous seating areas, they are very comfortable.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco armchairs typically feature bold geometric forms, curved profiles, low proportions, and refined materials like leather or velvet, reflecting the modern aesthetic of the 1920s and 1930s.

These chairs were built using solid hardwood frames, traditional sprung seating, and covered in high-quality dyed leather upholstery with stitched seam detailing.

Look for characteristic design elements such as fan-shaped backrests, barrel shapes, stepped bases, hand-stitched leather panels, and heavy frame construction typical of early-to-mid 20th-century craftsmanship.

Position a pair opposite a low-profile sofa to create a conversation area, framing them with geometric rug patterns, polished brass side tables, or dark wood elements to complement their streamlined silhouette.

Keep leather armchairs away from direct heat sources and sunlight to prevent drying, dust regularly with a soft cloth, and apply a specialised leather conditioner periodically to preserve flexibility and finish.
