The shield-shaped mirror plate is set within a finely shaped frame, raised on gracefully curved supports with original brass adjustment handles and decorative finials.The base features a beautifully figured mahogany top above a serpentine front, housing three drawers with turned brass knobs and a central escutcheon. The rich colour and striking grain throughout the mahogany give the piece real warmth and presence.Raised on shaped bracket feet, the mirror retains a pleasing sense of balance and refinement, typical of the late Georgian period.
