A heavy and solid chair with bold turnings.Most turner’s chairs, showcasing the craft of ‘the turner’ are of triangular form with armsand some kind of top comb, whereas this chair has a simple side chair form, possibly lending the design influence for later made and simpler ‘Dales’ chairs which were made with both wooden and rush seats.
