Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Edwardian wing armchairs, produced between 1901 and 1910, are defined by lighter mahogany frames, streamlined proportions, and refined classical influences compared to heavier Victorian antecedents. They often feature delicate string inlay, square tapering legs, and fitted brass castors.

Cabinetmakers during the Edwardian era predominantly utilised solid mahogany for structural framing and exposed woodwork. Internal construction relied on coiled steel springs, natural horsehair padding, woven jute webbing, and brass swivel castors.

Authentic Edwardian armchairs exhibit hand-cut joinery, slender timber dimensions, original brass castors attached to tapered square legs, and subtle decorative elements such as reeding or satinwood crossbanding.

An Edwardian wing chair functions as a focal accent in modern interiors when placed alongside minimal side tables, contemporary floor lamps, or neutral architectural backgrounds to highlight the dark timber grain.

Timber surfaces require occasional application of high-grade beeswax polish rubbed along the grain direction. Fabric upholstery should be vacuumed with soft brush attachments, while brass castors require light lubrication to prevent stiffening.
