The cross grain moulded frame is supported between exceptionally elegant turned and spiral-reeded uprights with solid reeded intersections, all displaying the finest quality cabinetmaking of the period.The mirror is flanked by a pair of original ormolu swinging candle arms, adding both functionality and decorative refinement. It stands on four sweeping sabre splayed legs, united by double turned stretchers and terminating in the original finely cast and carved brass castors.To the reverse, the mirror retains its original mahogany panelled back, a feature typical of Gillows workshop and indicative of its superior construction.
