Culvertons has dated this piece to the 1900s.
Both are being sold separately, and appear within Culvertons' stock on Selling Antiques. They are of a similar age, size, and are traditionally upholstered in the same fine light gold and duck egg blue Damask fabric and come with a throw cushion, however, the carved walnut show frames do differ. There are two minor marks on the upholstery of this example (see photos) - one on the left-hand side of the seat and the other on the cushion. The cushion cover has a zip so it can be removed for cleaning. An elegant and comfortable armchair that is ready to be used and enjoyed, either singly or as a matching pair.
