This antique French walnut armchair or fauteuil (Circa 1900) was chosen by Culvertons because we felt it was particularly attractive, finely carved, and in a very good useable condition. In fact it is one of two such armchairs we have recently brought into stock from the same private source. Both are being sold separately, and appear within Culvertons'' stock on Selling Antiques. They are of a similar age, size, and are traditionally upholstered in the same fine light gold and duck egg blue Damask fabric and come with a throw cushion, however, the carved walnut show frames do differ. There are two minor marks on the upholstery of this example (see photos) - one on the left-hand side of the seat and the other on the cushion. The cushion cover has a zip so it can be removed for cleaning.
