French Antique Company has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
It has its distressed mercury glass which gives a wonderful sparkle and reflection like no other. Mercury glass was not made after 1840.
It has a new back and wire and is ready to be hung.
It would have originally been an overmantel mirror but would look just as good as a leaner mirror (it is large enough) or hung on a large wall.
