A fabulous 19th Century giltwood overmantel or hall mirror of large proportions, exceptional quality and can be hung in both the landscape or portrait formats. The mirror glass plate of rectangular form is set within a finely hand carved, moulded, reeded and fluted giltwood frame with stunningly detailed motifs throughout comprising of arrangements of centred applied flowerhead paterae flanked with foliate, scallop shells, scrolls, flowerhead and anthemia with further elegantly detailed decorative beaded row and trailing acanthus leaf motifs wrapped around outermost border of the frame.
This piece can be hung in both the landscape or portrait formats.
