This beautiful SET OF SIX REGENCY ROSEWOOD DINING CHAIRS date from circa 1820. They are stamped C. MUNRO to the frames.
The carving and design of the top rails and central bars is remarkable. There is a fine splay to the back legs.
C. MUNRO is believed to have been a Scottish Cabinet Maker from Edinburgh whose furniture may be found in The Brighton Pavilion, an example of which is The Trafalgar Suite.
The Chairs are in good condition and very comfortable to sit on. The top covers show some fading. Whether they are kept or replaced is a matter of personal choice.
