Hoshiarpur craftsmanship originated in Punjab, India, gaining international prominence during the 19th century under British colonial rule for its intricate woodwork and delicate inlay techniques.

These pieces are typically constructed from dense local hardwoods such as sheesham or teak, featuring intricate jali fretwork and detailed wire or plate inlay made from brass, copper, or bone.

Authentic items exhibit hand-carved joinery, natural ageing of the wood and metal inlay, minor asymmetries typical of manual craftsmanship, and historical backing materials.

This piece can serve as a striking focal point above a mantelpiece or console table, adding textural contrast and historical depth to contemporary minimalist or maximalist schemes.

Maintain the wood with occasional applications of natural beeswax, avoid direct sunlight to protect the finish, and clean the mirror glass gently with a soft cloth and neutral cleanser.
