How do I clean a Tunbridge box?

Keep water away from the surface. The hide glue holding those thousands of tiny blocks is water-soluble, and moisture will lift the mosaic right off the carcase. Dust it gently with a soft, dry brush. If the surface looks dull, a very light application of high-quality microcrystalline wax will protect the wood and restore a bit of the sheen.
