Inlaid with boxwood, ebony lines and an intricate chevron design this mid 19th Century figured walnut writing or correspondence chest would have sat on a chest or table for the use of guests. It opens up to reveal a fold down writing slope which pulls out to show a pen rest and ink well, with three drawers above. It is in exceptionally good condition.
