A very fine example of a windsor stick chair in ash, of a distinctive style which has been identified as coming from Yorkshire, having a hoop-back with spindles above a single-piece armrest with turned front supports fronted by bent split sections, over a solid saddled seat with a shaped front and with elaborately figured grain, raised on nicely turned front and rounded rear legs united by a turned H-stretcher. There is a strong backward lean to this comfortable chair.
