A Fine Edwardian Inlaid Tub Corner Armchair.
Designed with a continuous horse-shoe cresting rail that flows seamlessly into the armrests, the frame features delicate Boxwood stringing running along the top rail, down the front uprights, and accentuating the square tapered front legs. The backrest is set with pierced, fret-cut vertical splats decorated with classic lattice fretwork, giving the piece a light and sophisticated aesthetic typical of the Sheraton revival period.
The French polished finish is entirely original; in our workshop, we have simply cleaned, revived, and waxed the woodwork to bring out the depth of the grain while preserving its authentic antique character. The upholstery has been stripped back to a bare frame, with all joints thoroughly checked, glued, and tightened where necessary to ensure absolute structural integrity. It has been fully rebuilt and reupholstered from the frame up, offering a comfortable and supportive seat while finished in a quality harvest gold chenille fabric trimmed with a matching multicoloured scroll gimp braid.
Standing on square tapered front legs and gently splayed rear legs, this chair remains solid in all its joints with no movement or play. Its compact footprint and elegant lines make it an exceptionally versatile accent piece, perfect as a desk chair, dressing table chair, hall chair, or quiet reading armchair for any period or contemporary home.

Please note this item is in very good condition for its age but does have slight signs of wear and tear, however, we feel that these points are which adds to part of its charm and character with it being antique.
