Victorian Mahogany Button-Back Armchair c.1860

A good quality Victorian period armchair, c.1860, with a richly carved mahogany frame of elegant serpentine form. The shaped back, seat and armrests are upholstered in a vintage textured yellow fabric with deep buttoning throughout.

The frame is well carved, with floral details to the knees and rope twist edging to the seat rail. Cabriole front legs and out-swept rear supports.

In sound structural condition. The upholstery shows age-related wear, with some fading, marks, and slight discolouration to the seat and back, but remains serviceable and comfortable. Minor wear to carved details.
