Pair of Edwardian Sheraton Revival Mahogany Armchairs

An elegant pair of Edwardian Sheraton Revival mahogany armchairs, displaying refined neoclassical detailing throughout.

Each chair has an oval open back centred by a delicate pierced splat with radiating fan motifs and fine decorative inlay. The shaped top rails are similarly enriched with contrasting inlay, while the slender arms flow neatly into the front supports. The chairs stand on elegant tapered legs with spade feet, giving them a light and well-proportioned appearance.

The seats are upholstered in a pale patterned fabric, providing a soft contrast to the rich mahogany frames. A particularly attractive decorative pair, suitable for use as occasional chairs, bedroom chairs or either side of a console or side table.
