Description

A superb antique Victorian Gothic revival solid oak swivel desk chair, made in England and dating from around the 1870-1880 period.

This is of outstanding quality, it is beautifully crafted and is extremely comfortable. The solid oak has a gorgeous colour tone and wonderful grain patterns. It has a lovely rounded shape with a pierced back, and canted edges on the arm rests and legs The round seat is beautifully caned. This swivels smoothly and rolls on original casters. The mechanism is extremely well made and is in good working order.

We have had the wood revived and re-polished, it has a gorgeous colour one. There is no damage to the cane, the condition all round is excellent for its age.
