This large antique English pier mirror dates from 1860 in the nineteenth century and is suitable for hanging either horizontally or vertically. The piece consists of a carved wood and gesso structure finished in a gold gilt. The frame incorporates reeded mouldings along its rectangular perimeter, punctuated by decorative leaf clasp accents tied with cross-ribbon motifs at regular intervals. The glass plate and backboards are original to the object. Measuring 211 cm high, 64 cm wide, and 5 cm deep, the mirror commands substantial wall space.
