George III Oak Tapered Rectangular Candle Box

A lovely example of a George III oak tapered rectangular candle box, shaped cresting, hinged sloping cover, c.1800. It has a lovely colour to it. There are signs of age, various small knocks, cracks and marks as can be expected for its age, but nothing detrimental. It has been lightly cleaned and is ready for use.
