This large nineteenth-century French Louis Philippe mirror is designed in the style of a French Chateau. The piece features a gold giltwood frame applied over gesso, constructed with a straight base and distinctive rounded upper corners. Decorative elements include an egg and dart design and beaded moulding along the perimeter, finished in a bright gold colour with the original real gilt surface. New glass has been fitted into the frame. The overall dimensions measure 176.5 cm high and 115 cm wide.
