Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1850s.
It is of superb quality and is a great size, large and comfortable but not too imposing. The barrel shaped back is fluted with scrolled arms and a feather filled cushion. It stands on beautifully turned solid walnut legs with solid brass casters.
The legs have also been stripped and re-polished, the condition is excellent throughout.
