The piece has a gold and dark brown colour scheme, featuring an architectural moulded gilt-wood pediment with acanthus carving on a punched background and a central cartouche, above a carved panel with egg-and-dart moulding. The walnut veneered frame is encased between a double gilt-wood egg-and-dart moulding and retains its original aged mirror plate with visible speckling and distress.
