Each with turned beech ebonised frames.

The first chairs of this type were made in around 1870 and had near-round seats and steam bent stretchers. These examples are likely to have been made later in century.

One chair in very good condition. The second chair has a later rope seat, some superficial losses to the finish and some areas of repainting on the legs. Both chairs are structurally sound.
