Description

A well-matched set of five Georgian chairs in elm with mahogany detailing. Each features a shaped top rail over twin horizontal splats with turned spindle and roundel decoration. Raised on square legs united by stretchers to the front and sides, the chairs retain a rich, aged patina.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout, with some expected signs of age and use. Surface wear is present, including age-related marks and scratches. There is evidence of historic woodworm throughout, which has been thoroughly treated and is no longer active. Some staining is visible to the sides, all consistent with the age and character of the chairs.
