Fine Italian late 19th century open armchair with shield back and four cabriole legs. The back is pierced with intricately carved ribbon decoration. The original cream paint is slightly worn on the arms and shows the lovely craquelure network in the paint. The worn leather seat has taken on a lovely colour and sets off the fine lines of the woodwork as well as being extremely comfortable.
