C.18th Pair of Shropshire Elm Country Chairs (Georgian, Staffordshire, George Iii, Farmhouse)

A late C18th pair of matched Shropshire chairs. These chairs constructed in beautifully figured solid elm feature a triple spindle slat back, flanked by turned style uprights, over single plank seats, raised on turned legs, supported by stretchers.

An attractive, high quality and well presented matched pair of Shropshire country chairs. In good original condition and ready for use.

Dimensions:

These chairs measures approximately 91 cm (35.75") tall, 46.5 cm (18.25") wide, and 36 cm (14.25") deep. The seat height is approximately 43 cm (17).

Condition:

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - These chairs are in a good and original condition commensurate with its age. Some odd minor marks and blemishes. Some old and extinct worm holes, typical of elm antique furniture, that does not affect the sturdiness of the chair in any way, and now treated as way of precaution. A natural knot hole in one of the seats and partial ring mark to the other. No loose joints. No obvious signs of damage or repairs. Charming aged wear. Very good colour, polish and patina. Very serviceable and ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.

Returns

A 30-day return period is offered for peace of mind. Items must be returned in the same condition as supplied. Return transport costs are the responsibility of the buyer, and original delivery charges are non-refundable. Responsibility for the item remains with the buyer until it has been safely received back.
