Description

A set of three Victorian farmhouse chairs in elm, each with a shaped top rail and ring turned spindles. The seats are solid with attractive pronounced grain and saddle shaping. The legs are turned and unified by a stretcher for stability. Overall a charming set.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout, with wear consistent with age and domestic use. The surfaces show knocks, marks, scratches, and some fading, particularly to the top rail. All three chairs are structurally solid and sound. One spindle has a crack, though it remains stable. There are historic repairs where the stretchers have been re-glued. Overall, an attractive set.
