Holmes Antiques has dated this piece to the 17th Century.
The bold and well shaped arms are made from a wonderful thick section of timber. The pegs to the tenon joints are in untouched condition, the seat tips up to reveal a nice golden colour with dry surface just as we like to see. Although the feet have lost a little hight over the years the seat hight is still a good 47cm. Circa 1635
