N Wilson Antiques Clocks has dated this Regency Gilt Mantel Clock to the Regency era.
The top of the clock stars with a lovely bronze bust of a classical style soldier wearing a helmet. The movement housing is then round and sits upon a lively gilt, shaped section. The base is then patinated bronze with a lovely gilt mount to the front. The clock is then finished by four gilt bronze feet.

The dial is then silvered and engine turned. It is set out in lovely gilt Roman numerals and has two intricately shaped, gilt hands. The dial is then framed by a wonderful, shaped gilt surround.
The movement is then wound from the front and accessed from the back. It is a superb single chain fusee example of the upmost quality and ticks away and chimes as it should. The clock also comes complete with its regulating pendulum and winding key.
Would make a fantastic addition to any home or collection.
