A matched pair of faux-rosewood barley twist side chairs, early nineteenth century.
 
Intricately crafted from beech, with caned seats intact. Squab cushions can be made upon request.
 
Stamped ‘FF’ to the underside of the seat rail, which could relate to a Gillows workman. Chairs of this period held in the Lady Lever Collection are also stamped ‘FF’.
 
Structurally sound, with traces of historic woodworm.
