Marylebone Antiques has dated these Embossed Leather Dining Chairs to the 1880s.
They have copper studs around the edges, the solid walnut frames have barley twist front legs with lovely stretchers, the two carvers have wonderful scrolled armrests.

We have had the wood re-polished and the leather revived by our leather restorer, there is one area of repair to the outer arm of one carver. The condition is excellent for their age.
There is a retailer label underneath from Rio De Janeiro, these have been from Portugal to Brazil, now back to the UK.
