A set of ten 18th century Chippendale mahogany dining chairs comprising nine singles and one armchair.
The shaped carved top rails above a pierced centre splat with carved rosettes, above drop in seats, all standing on moulded front legs and swept back ones united by plain stretchers. The armchair is larger all round than the singles and has well shaped arms. The set comprises five single and one armchair with serpentine front rails and four singles with straight front rails, all the chairs are the same age , timber and colour with beautifully carved backs and are made of the best Cuban mahogany. The seat covers could easily be changed if necessary . English Circa 1770.
The armchair is 58.5 cm wide, 56 deep and 99cm tall.
Singles are 53.5 cm wide, 47 deep and 96.5 tall.
