Description

An excellent set of 6 antique mahogany Chippendale Style dining chairs in the classic Chippendale style. They were made in England, and date from around the 1890-1910 period.

The quality is superb, they are very sturdy and well made. The pierced back rests have lovely details, they have gadrooned front edges, and sit on cabriole legs with acanthus leaf carving terminating in claw and ball feet.

We have had these recently re-polished, the mahogany has a gorgeous colour tone and patina. We have also had the drop in seats re-upholstered in a cream cotton fabric, the condition is excellent throughout for their age.
