FAQs

Regency furniture, spanning the late 18th to early 19th century, is characterised by classical symmetry, heavily influenced by Greek, Roman, and Egyptian revival motifs.

Master craftsmen predominantly utilised imported dense hardwoods like mahogany and rosewood, often incorporating brass or gilt bronze mounts and detailed carving.

Authenticity is determined by examining traditional joinery methods, timber grain patination, hand-carved detailing, and period-appropriate hardware such as brass castors.

Pair the piece with clean architectural lines and minimalist modern furnishings to create a striking contrast that highlights the historic craftsmanship.

Maintain the wood by applying natural beeswax periodically, keeping the item away from direct sunlight, and maintaining stable room humidity levels to prevent timber splitting.
