A lovely little folding antique chair.
This lovely chair features an elegantly simple cantilever folding mechanism made for easy storage and transportation as per usual for the campaign items. The chair has an ornate design featuring a florally carved crown top flanked either side with finely turned barley twist supports.
This lovely chair features its original well maintained french polished finish with lots of patina which we have just cleaned to preserve and protect the finish and give a natural sheen.
This item is structurally solid with a perfectly working folding mechanism and in good order with no loose joints or breaks. The material and traditional inner padding seems to be in good condition, the chair has come from a smoke-free environment and is comfortable.
The chair is likely upholstered in its original material, which is a lovely burgundy and cream cut maquette with only little wearing and no obvious staining but is evidently very old and finished with brass studs to the edges. The material covering could be fully re-upholstered to your taste if required. We would be able to quote for reupholstering this chair for you if you enquire.
Please note; this item is in very good condition for its age but does have signs of wear and tear however we feel that's part of its charm and character with it being antique.
