An unusual set of 4 Swiss hall or kitchen chairs in walnut and beech. The shaped backs having well carved detail leading to the solid wood seats and raised on splayed tapering and moulded legs.
 
This style of Swiss chair is often referred to as an escabelle, which translates to “footstool” and also sometimes as a sellette or a scabelle. All are in very good condition and ready for use.
