A rare pair of 18th Century Barocchetto arm chairs. Of impressive scale this imposing pair of chairs retain most of their original paint decoration. They stand on cabriole legs with serpentine shaped rails which are centered by foliate carvings. The scroll arms have shaped supports and the padded backs also have central foliate carvings. In good condition commensurate with their age having been recently upholstered. 1170mm high, 730mm wide, 690mm deep and 450mm seat height. Italy. Circa 1770.
