A superb, very usable Victorian hardwood sideboard of large proportions with the full makers stamp in the drawer & intact original paper label to the rear. This piece of furniture when bought new would have represented a substantial investment by its first owner, who was obviously a very, very wealthy individual, possibly titled. The cabinet is formed of two sections, the top has moulded and ribbed cornice over four small, beautifully bevelled glazed doors and four recesses and is fitted with pillared side supports. The base section has three frieze drawers with superb, window catch style brass handles, bevelled glazed centre doors and two further side doors, & is supported on bun feet.
