Description

Exceptional quality, possibly unique, North American gilt bronze jewel casket by Nicolas Haydon. The lid and sides inset with intaglio engraved and frosted rock crystal glass panels with central medallion of a basket of flowers, festoons and pendants, the frame engraved with shells and scrolling foliage. Labelled Nicholas Haydon Lamps and Shades, 29 West 56th St. New York City, c1930.

Excellent condition, working lock with original key, lacking one ball/stop to end of one interior chain.
